If you recently navigated to the website Findaway Voices, you might have encountered a change. The website now redirects to Voices by INaudio. The information in this article is provided to help navigate the transition from Findaway Voices to the new Voices by INaudio platform. TravSonic is not affiliated with Spotify or INaudio.

What Was Findaway Voices?

Findaway Voices, established in 2005, was the leading audiobook distributor platform for independent authors and publishers. Its mission was to simplify audiobook creation and distribution, making it accessible to a wider audience. They provided a full suite of services, from production tools and marketing support to wide distribution across major retailers, including Audible, Apple Books, and, of course, Spotify.

To secure a significant foothold in the rapidly expanding US audiobook market, Spotify acquired Findaway in 2022. The platform was previously known as ‘Findaway Voices by Spotify,’ but that is no longer the case.

The Transition: From Findaway Voices to INaudio

voices-by-inaudio-logoThe change began in October 2023 when Spotify initiated a migration process for Findaway Voices’ services and functionality. The new platform was initially called Spotify Open Access before it was rebranded as “Voices by INaudio”.

As of August 1, 2025, the Findaway Voices website URL now redirects to the Voices by INaudio website. This transition highlights Spotify’s strategic vision: to have greater control over its audiobook content. By integrating Findaway’s technology, Spotify is now streamlining the process for authors to publish their audiobooks directly to the platform, creating a more seamless and integrated audio experience for its vast user base.

What Does This Mean for Previous Findaway Voices users?

Previous Findaway Voices users were required to migrate their accounts to the new system. The process involved logging into a specific portal with their old Findaway Voices credentials and linking or creating a Spotify account.

All of a creator’s data—including uploaded audio files, metadata, and distribution settings—was intended to be seamlessly migrated to the new INaudio platform. This allows authors to continue managing their audiobooks with minimal disruption. However, users were advised to pay close attention to the specific instructions provided by Spotify and INaudio to ensure a smooth and successful transition.

The Migration Process from Findaway to INaudio

  • Automatic Migration: The process for existing Findaway Voices users is intended to be automatic. Users’ existing content, data, and distribution settings are being moved to the new Voices by INaudio platform.
  • Same Login Credentials: You should be able to use the same login credentials you used for Findaway Voices to access your new account on Voices by INaudio.
  • Split Distribution Channels: The new ecosystem effectively splits the distribution channels into two parts:
    • Voices by INaudio: This platform handles wide distribution to all other audiobook retailers and library partners (e.g., Audible, Apple Books, Google, Kobo, OverDrive, etc.).
    • Spotify for Authors: Spotify is now focusing on its own platform for direct audiobook uploads and distribution. If you were distributing your audiobooks to Spotify through Findaway Voices, you will also now have a Spotify for Authors account. • Possible Lag in Account Reports and Logs: Some users have reported a delay in the migration of account details, including sales data. As of the time of this article’s posting, it is currently unknown whether or when this reporting will be fully transferred to the new platform.
