cool comparison. on some a/b switches the rack is a bit louder this is a
bit misleading i find. of course some passages dribe the hardware more, but
then i have different loud signals, which i dont like when comparing

UAD as any other plugin, doing the same thing, and that is: mud in the low
end(when you boost, also low mid), and the highs are too harsh, overall:
complete track sounds like it is in mud, and hyped in highs(but the highs
are not that bad, compared to the other plugins). The separation of the
sounds are also funny, on the plugin, you don’t have that, on the hardware
you got plenty :) and that is for any hardware unit, not just pultec, so
    people, grab some HARDware :))
Thank you very much for this demonstration!
edit: And the track is awesome!

Obviously the hardware is how could I Say cleaner and hotter than the
Digital one, but UAD’s emulation is awesome! Great demonstration! Many
    Thanks!

Oh god, even on YouTube the hardware one is clearly killing the plugin.
    Sorry UAD!

The hardware was better. It had a little bit more shine on the high end and
was more musical and discrete on the low end. Even though the emulation is
very close compared to all of the other emulations.

It’s weird can’t tell the difference, but my ears like the hardware more!
so strange, maybe it’s more round? any idea?

Hardware sounds better like peeps have been saying in the comments below,
the hardware adds shine and sparkle and bring the track alive and thats
what you get with hardware. The plugin is a very good emulation and has
it’s own character but will always have that digitalness about it. I love
the plugin and would love a hardware version. Listen to this comparison
don’t watch the video and your notice the difference. Top work on the
comparison and thanks for sharing. Listened on Mackies and then Mixcubes.

    Adrien Sauvaget says:

The difference is so obvious. The Hardware makes the track ALIVE, while the
Plugins gives only the “sonic signature” of the real deal. Also I can see
the same output peaks on the master fader, but the Hardware sound even
“louder” a bit. And what’s most amazing is that I’m listening right now
with my small and shitty laptop speakers. Long live hardware gears.

The Hardware is always louder than the plug in. The plug in sound a bit
better, less grainy and more clear. The transients breathe more. The
Hardware is a bit dull and boxy. Listened on Neuman KH-120 in the studio.

hear big differences. First, the plugins I listen with less energy, it’s
    like harmonics throughout the spectrum
hear more volume with the hardware ,more headroom
hardware has more strength ,more depth hardware
hardware is better in my opinion.
differences listen with eyes closed ..
